Book Writers - ePub Book Publisher

I have spent a lot of time and money, on trying to find a really simple book creator that allows me and my students to do everything that we want it to do. It needs to be easy to use, have few buttons but lots of options, be clean looking, save with ease, share to a range of places with one click and most importantly be able to save it to our own and others iBook libraries.

We think we have found all of this and more with 'Book Writer'. It is by far the easiest to use ePub creator I have seen for my year 3/4 students. I did a test run with a year 5/6  class to see if it was easy to use and simple to share.

Haiku Deck

We have just started playing around with a great new app called Haiku Deck. Haiku Deck is the simple new way to create stunning presentations – whether you are pitching an idea, teaching a lesson, telling a story, or igniting a movement, it's fast, fun and simple for anyone to use.

We have used the app to present our "Back from term break" stories. We wrote descriptive sentences to describe places that we love and why we love them.

Check out the app at https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/haiku-deck/id536328724

Writing Websites

These are websites that we use in Room 8. Each site has a different purpose and can be used in so many ways. They are all student tested and approved. Enjoy.

Comix! - http://www.makebeliefscomix.com/Comix/
This is a very simple to use website designed to assist with comic creation. Great for all ability levels and perfect for those that need some motivation or help with writing.

The original word cloud creator. A brilliant website with so many possibilities for writing, language games or activities, spelling etc. The list goes on. This is a must in the classroom.

This website takes word cloud creation to the next level. More advanced to use than "Wordle" but the end result is a bit more eye catching. Brilliant as a publishing tool, show piece or just for fun. Students will love it.
